I know you can't see it very well, but there are a TON of branches and sticks on the ground. We had some wicked rain and wind come through last night, and even I, who LOVES weather, was a little concerned that our roof would stay on!
By the way, it was 61 degrees this morning here! The temperature has been dropping since then, but hey- it IS winter!

January 10, 2010
Well, I missed January 9. I was away at an all-day scrapbook crop, and I even had my camera with me! I just forgot to take a picture.
Oh, well- no beating myself up! It's not worth it!
Here is the picture for January 10. Kris is putting a hardwood floor down in the hallway, and he was using a manual saw. Kacy hates certain sounds- we think she inherited my sister's sensitive hearing (yep, sounds good, doesn't it?). She often walks around with her hands over her ears at the slightest of sounds...

Okay- I'm cheating today! I'm sharing TWO pictures!
We were playing Wii Bowling tonight- Kris has a high score of 203! He has such concentration, don't you think?
The other picture is just hilarious, in my opinion! Kacy likes to go downstairs and "work out" with Kris. He took this picture of her- how adorable!
Welcome to my world! LOL

I had a whole other picture idea in my head for today- unfortunately, I forgot my camera! (note to self: Keep camera in purse. At all times. I should know better.)
Kacy has more toys than a toy store. That's not always a good thing, and it irks me when she doesn't want to play with 95% of them (yes, it IS time to declutter- thanks for asking!).
This evening, she had all of her Barbies out, and she was having a great time playing with them! She has SUCH an imagination (no, I'm not just saying that), and to hear her come up with stories with her dolls..... it's just bliss.
Here is a picture of her playing with her Barbies. I just love it! :)

Here is the picture from January 2, 2010.
The explanation? Our dryer, that we figure to be at least 20 years old, died around the middle of the month. We had this ONE drying rack to use to dry clothes for well over two weeks. I had clothes hanging everywhere I could find room- the shower rod, the closet, draped over the side of the pack-and-play.... it was ridiculous!
Today, our new dryer was supposed to be delivered. However, Home Depot said they couldn't back up our driveway because of the snow (yeah, really!). So Kris told them to put it at the bottom of the driveway and he'd get it himself. They did.
He backed my van down the driveway, put the dryer in it, and drove back up the driveway. He and his dad then installed it- I've done 6 loads of laundry so far today!
Here is my picture of the day- the final clothes hanging on the drying rack. May I NEVER need it again!

One of my goals is to take one picture every day, and post about it here! If I scrap it, great! If not, I have a history of the year 2010! :)
We spent New Year's Eve at the Wike's house. The Purcell's were there, too, and we always have a great time ringing in the new year! Here is our family picture, taken around 1 am!
